2005 “52 Club” Membership Rally Benefits Texas Tennis
Competition among the many charitable organizations is greater now than ever before, and support of the Texas Tennis Foundation is critical for us to be able carryout our mission and assist the established programs in place. It is because the Texas Tennis Foundation is devoted to promoting health and education through tennis by assisting developing tennis players and properly organized and supervised tennis clubs and groups, that this benevolent program is very vital.
With the help of the “52 Club” members, each year the established funds of your Texas Tennis Foundation continue to provide needed assistance for underprivileged players, special populations, college scholarships, competitive player travel assistance, and the Texas Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame. New programs are on the horizon and serious consideration by the foundation to support them is necessary to insure opportunity for all.
As a matter of background, the “52 Club” program was introduced by Henry Cox at a 2002 USTA Texas Section Executive Meeting and unanimously approved. The premise at the forefront of this program is that by joining the “52 Club”, your gift to this annual giving program will help the foundation achieve and maintain its superior level of assistance. The Club members help support the Texas Tennis Foundation by donating a minimum of $52 (a dollar per week) to the Foundation annually.
The Texas Tennis Foundation would like to publicly acknowledge the support of its “52 Club” Members, as of June 6, 2005, listed below:
The support of the “52 Club” members will help to turn the dreams of our youth and goals of our tennis players into realities. Texas tennis players will have the opportunity to further their athletics, education, and dreams of becoming leaders in our communities. Make the “52 Club” part of your annual charitable gifting program today and your generous donation will be an “investment” in Texas Tennis.
