The Julius Zinn family donated funds to the Texas Tennis and Education Foundation to provide for any and all expenses of the Foundation in establishing and maintaining the award. The award was established in 1997.
Marti Rodriguez Scholarship
Established for the Texas Tennis & Education Foundation in 2007 in recognition of long time USTA Texas Section employee, Martha E. Rodriguez. Mrs. Rodriguez passed away on April 17, 2007, after a two-year illness. She worked diligently for junior tennis in Texas for 23 years of her life. She treated all with dignity and patience as she helped hundreds of young players and family find their way through tennis rules, regulations, and opportunities.
